

Rich has a wealth of commercial strategy and property development experience in a professional career spanning more than 25 years. For 15 years, he has lead significant teams with responsibility across strategy, finance, team development, culture and change.
He has a proven track record in the visioning, business case, feasibility creation, planning and delivery of complex and innovative urban renewal, mixed use, and infrastructure projects.
Extremely numerate at a project and business level having acquired and delivered complex billion dollar projects as well as successfully dealing with the conflicting demands of a business.
Demonstrated ability in corporate, private, private equity, funds management and not for profit organisations as a Group Executive and in General Management roles.
Proven experience leading at the transaction “coal face” with multiple stakeholders in business, occupier, planning and authority approvals and sales.
Loyal, reliable and trusted operator able to manage multiple stakeholders and build confidence in a friendly affable style.
Rich commenced his career at Multiplex and ISPT before moving to Investa and ultimately taking up a Group Executive role working across development and funds management. While at Investa, Rich demonstrated strong financial credentials to grow the development pipeline to $2.5 bn. and evolving the division into a strong profit driver for Investa’s $7bn business. When joining MAB, he strategically prioritised property inventory to shift capital swiftly in a debilitating GFC market. Considered one of the most active developers during this period, Rich was also able to build a new team and strategically secure counter cyclical site acquisitions of $150M.
Now at Swing, Rich is often sought out for his project visioning, business case preparation, feasibility, capital management and risk analysis. He now applies his Careful Knowledge to deliver Outstanding Property Results for his Clients.
Rich holds degrees in Architecture (Honours), Building and Planning and Design. He has previously been a member of the Property Council of Australia Planning and Infrastructure Committee, Property Development Education Committee and is a regular presenter at Property Council Development courses.
